AI for Business Intelligence & Decision-Making

Move from a business question to a checked, explainable decision brief.

Teams practise a complete data-to-decision workflow: frame the question, inspect the data, explore patterns, challenge assumptions and communicate what the evidence does—and does not—support.

Recommended format

Core workshop · 4–6 hours

Delivery

On-site / in person, online, or hybrid

01 · Best for

Is this the right workshop?

Analysts, managers, finance, operations and commercial teams that work with recurring reports, spreadsheets or management decisions.

Not the best fit when

  • — You need a finished software implementation rather than team training.
  • — You want a passive keynote without practical work.
  • — You require a legal or compliance guarantee.

02 · What changes after the workshop

What this program changes in practice

Better analysis does not begin with asking AI to find an insight. It begins with a decision, a clear definition of the numbers and an honest view of what the data cannot answer. This workshop helps teams slow down at precisely those points, then use AI to explore tables, question variances, compare scenarios and explain findings more efficiently. The aim is not automatic analysis; it is a decision brief that another person can follow, challenge and approve.

The session is not a fixed sequence of demonstrations. The facilitator works with the team on Frame the decision, Prepare the data, Explore patterns, using Spreadsheets & data tools, ChatGPT, AI search & deep research when those systems are approved and available. Participants compare first results, make missing context visible and improve the work together. They learn not only which request works, but why an output is reliable enough to move into the next working step.

The value should not end when people leave the room. Exercises therefore produce concrete outputs such as Decision and analysis brief, Reusable question library, Verification checklist. They give colleagues a traceable starting point, show where human review is still required and make the next pilot smaller and more realistic. Optional follow-up work can build on those artefacts instead of beginning again with another general introduction.

  • Start analysis with a decision rather than a chart
  • Use AI to explore tables without hiding assumptions
  • Check trends, anomalies and calculations
  • Create a concise decision narrative with limits

03 · Tools your team will use

Tools your team will use

Spreadsheets & data tools
Explore tables, test assumptions and create checked summaries without losing the source trail.
ChatGPT
Draft, analyse, research and turn recurring work into reusable team instructions.
AI search & deep research
Find, compare and cite current sources, then separate evidence from interpretation.

04 · From uncertainty to a shared way of working

Move from a business question to a checked, explainable decision brief.

Before
Reports contain plenty of data, but questions, assumptions and review steps are not always explicit.
In the room
The team uses Spreadsheets & data tools, ChatGPT, AI search & deep research on its own examples. Every exercise ends with checking, improvement and a clear human decision.
The day after
Participants leave with more than notes: Decision and analysis brief, Reusable question library, Verification checklist and an agreed next step.
